The time has finally arrived.  After about a year of planning, in a few (4) days we will board a British Airways 777 for a non-stop flight to London, where we will begin our next adventure, 7+ weeks in England, Paris, Germany and Switzerland.   I have searched the Internet, posted questions on various forums, spoke to those who have gone before and have come up with a plan of sorts.. After a month in England, Scotland and Wales we head under the Channel to Paris where we will be meeting up with our friends from Germany, Hansjorg and Silke.  We will spend a week in an apartment in the 9th arrondissement after which Hansjorg has informed me that he will become the "Travel Master" for the remainder of the trip.  So for the last two plus weeks of our adventure we will follow Hansjorg's and Silke's lead to wherever they decide to take us.

For the first time in any of our trips lasting more than a week, I have made reservations for the entire month that we are in England, plus our apartment in Paris.  Choosing 7 B&B's and one hotel by looking at reviews on the web is a leap of faith for me, usually opting to see the room before making a commitment.  I suppose the downside would be if we don't like the place or area it will be more difficult to move on if we chose.  The upside is that we won't have to spend time looking for a place to our liking in each location.  So we shall see how it all turns out and of course the results will be reported here.

So feel free to follow along, post comments and questions and live vicariously through our adventure.  If you want to be notified when there is a new post on the blog and you are not yet on the mailing list, you can enter your email address in the upper right hand corner and you will automatically be notified.  Just so you know, I don't get to see your e-mail address if you use this notification link.

So stay tuned as I will update the blog periodically.  THIS is our B&B for our stay in London.
